Postdoctoral Fellowship Information Systems Phd in Biological Chemistry


The Information Systems Phd Biological Chemistry Department John Innes Centre conduct fundamental research on molecular processes in plants and microbes.We recently discovered novel maltosyl transferase, GlgE, and its role in a new pathway for biosynthesis of glucans. This pathway is important because it was involved in the pathogenesis of Mycobacterium tuberculosis and is a new target with a new mode measures for anti-TB therapy.

Information Systems PhD Scholarship in Radiochemistry at DTU


The Information Systems PhD study also will include the development of new methodology for the extraction of [18F] fluoride from target water and turn it into a source of efficient fluorination.

Information Systems PhD Scholarships at University of Pavia


The Information Systems PhD scholarships are awarded as follows:
1. Successful applicants must confirm acceptance of the award and its conditions during the period specified in the letter of notification of award of the scholarship. If a candidate does not accept, the scholarship will be awarded to the candidate next in rank;
2. After receiving the acceptance of the prize, the University of Pavia:
  • send a prepaid travel ticket to Italy and provide for the travel expenses back to the developing country. Visa requirements will be care of the candidate, and will be reimbursed upon presentation of appropriate receipts;
  • provide the candidate with the scholarship according to the final decision of the Commission: monthly instalments of 1.000 Euros each (the number of instalments assigned to each successful candidate will be decided by the Commission);
  • arrange an accommodation in one of the University Residences of Pavia (lodging expenses will have to be paid by the candidate; if the candidate does not accept the proposed lodging, s/he will have to find another one by him/herself);
  • provide a card for meals at University canteens (the candidate will get the student discount for the meals, which will be at his/her expense);
  • guarantee all the facilities required during the period of residence – libraries, computer facilities, etc., including all the services of the Faculty which the student is associated with;
  • help the candidate to settle through the services offered for free by the Welcome Point of the University of Pavia, which will provide also the information about applying for a student residence permit.

3. Information Systems PhD Insurances will be direct care of the selected candidates. In particular, health insurance might be bought by the candidate before leaving the country of origin, being this usually mandatory while
applying for the Visa.

European Information Systems PhD Program


The European Information Systems PhD Program in Computational Logic (EPCL) is run jointly by four of the leading European universities in the field:
•Free University of Bozen-Bolzano (Italy),
•Technische Universität Dresden (Germany),
•Technische Universität Wien (Austria), and
•Universidade Nova de Lisboa (Portugal).
Further international universities, research organizations and enterprises which contribute to Computational Logic or apply results from it are involved as associated partners: The Simon Fraser University (Canada), the Universidad de Chile, the National ICT Australia Limited (NICTA), and several companies. The Information Systems PhD program involves three years of PhD study in at least two of the European partner universities. It leads to a joint doctoral degree of the partner universities at which the studies have been physically performed. The Information Systems PhD language of the program is English. Financial support is available in the form of positions and scholarships.

Information Systems PhD Necessary requirements for participation in EPCL are a Master’s degree in Computer Science or Mathematics, or an equivalent degree; the proof of adequate knowledge of English; and substantial knowledge in the areas Foundations of Logics, Foundations of Artificial Intelligence and Declarative Programming.
