The mission of Rothamsted Research is to be recognised internationally as a primary source of first-class scientific research and new knowledge that addresses stakeholder requirements for innovative policies, products and practices to enhance the economic, environmental and societal value of agricultural land.We are seeking an outgoing, positive person to continue to drive forward our public relations activities on behalf of three research locations - Brooms Barn, North Wyke and Rothamsted.
Your role will be to develop the Rothamsted Research external relations strategy and implement with a small support team, but you are expected to be very hands-on and involved in all aspects of the job.
You may be an experienced scientist in our area of work who has enjoyed substantial science communications experience or a skilled public relations person with a solid background in agricultural or related research and you relish working in a research-based organisation. You should have some good management skills and it is likely that you will have a PhD, but equivalent experience will count.
